Well, I will admit that I never did think that I would ever start writing a blog. Honestly I’m not exactly sure what a blog is. I guess I need to do some research on that, Lol. I figure there’s no better way than starting to get my voice out in the world than starting a blog. I’ve had many of my friends say that I should start one and I already do my live videos online on my social media pages which if you haven’t checked them out, please go back to my page and check them out. Follow me if you like any of my content.
I guess I should start by introducing myself. My name is Dena Patterson. I am a certified life, Coach, certified personal trainer, a wife, a mom of four wonderful children, three boys, and a girl, the youngest, to being a set of twins. An entrepreneur and an adventure enthusiast.
I have been on my journey to discovering what I felt like my true purpose was here on this earth for about 6 to 7 years now. I’ve had lots of life experiences from marriage and divorce to children moving, depression, feeling lost, hopelessness, and on the opposite spectrum, hope, Struggle to supply for my family. I guess you could say I’ve had quite a few life experiences over the years. As a woman in her late 30s I have come to the conclusion that life isn’t just about doing one thing. It’s about finding things you enjoy, and then reaching out and helping other people create the life that they want.
I started my life coaching journey about seven years ago when I was reading a book, called the success principles by Jack Canfield. It really opened my eyes to the self-help world, which I had no idea about, and I started to pursue those things because I felt a strong draw toward it. Once I got down to it, I realize that I’ve naturally been doing life coaching my entire life. So now that I’ve worked through a lot of the kinks, I’ve decided that I wanted to do this as a full-time career. I have a passion for people, and I want to see them excel in life and ignite the fire that should be in their lives.
I have also recently started my fitness journey. With the place that my family lives in the beautiful state of New Mexico it’s really hard to try to find a personal trainer so I decided instead of trying to find one I would become one. I’ve always had a passion for fitness and now I hope to be able to help others on their fitness journey as well.
